Reine des Violettes

Where Beautiful Stories Begin

Reine des Violettes is a small, carefully developed English Springer Spaniel kennel shaped by a deep appreciation for the breed — its elegance, intelligence, temperament and exceptional bond with people.

Every breeding decision is made with purpose. We study pedigrees, health, structure, movement and temperament, always looking beyond individual beauty to the value a particular combination may bring to the next generation.

We do not plan a litter simply for the sake of having one. We breed when we see a clear reason, a direction, and a meaningful place for that combination in the future of our kennel.

Our dogs are part of our everyday lives. They travel with us, train, develop their natural abilities and are shown both in Poland and abroad. Living closely with them allows us to understand not only how they look, but who they are — their character, strengths and potential.

At Reine des Violettes, we value harmony — between elegance and function, energy and sensitivity, respect for the traditions of the breed and a thoughtful approach to its future.

Our story

A story told in chapters

Every kennel has a beginning. Ours began with Ines.

She was the dog who turned admiration for the breed into something deeper — curiosity, learning and, eventually, a clear vision of what Reine des Violettes could become.

Through her, we began to look at English Springer Spaniels not only as wonderful companions, but also through the eyes of a breeder: studying pedigrees, structure, movement, temperament and the qualities worth preserving for future generations.

Reine des Violettes grew from that experience and from the desire to breed with purpose, consistency and respect for the breed.

Over time, more dogs became part of the story. Each brought something different, taught us something new and shaped the way we think about breeding today. Shows, training, travel and everyday life with our dogs all became part of the same journey.

Today, Reine des Violettes is still a young kennel, and its story continues to unfold.

We know the direction we want to follow, but we also believe that breeding is a constant process of learning. Every dog adds a new chapter, every generation brings new questions, and every decision becomes part of what comes next.

Chapter 01

The beginning

Every story has a first dog, a first decision, and a moment when an affection becomes something more enduring.

For Reine des Violettes, the first real chapter began with our C litter — the combination of Ines (INES SYLVAN SPIRIT Zasadkowe Bory) and Master (Lordsett THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL).

That litter would not have happened in quite the same way without the guidance and support of Lordsett Kennel.

From the very beginning, Kasia and Marcin became much more than experienced breeders we could turn to for advice. Through long conversations, countless questions and their exceptional eye for dogs, they taught us to look beyond titles, photographs and first impressions.

Together, we searched for the right dog for Ines — not simply a beautiful male, but one who could truly complement her and bring the qualities we were looking for into the next generation.

That choice was Master.

The C litter brought us six puppies — three boys and three girls.

This litter set the bar exceptionally high from the very beginning. It gave us far more than the experience of raising our first puppies. It taught us how much thought lies behind a truly considered breeding decision, how important it is to understand both strengths and weaknesses, and how much can be learned by watching a carefully planned combination develop over time.

Kasia and Marcin of Lordsett became our mentors, and their influence remains an important part of the way we think about breeding today.

But beyond everything this litter taught us as breeders, the C litter will always be something deeply personal. Our first six puppies. Our first beginning. Our first experience of watching tiny lives grow into individual dogs, each with their own character and future.

Perhaps that is why this litter will always hold such a special place in my heart. No matter how many chapters come after it, I know I will remember those six for the rest of my life.

Chapter 02

The dogs who shaped us

Some dogs leave more than memories: they change expectations, routines, friendships, and the way we understand the breed.

For us, three dogs in particular have influenced the way Reine des Violettes has grown — each in a completely different way.

Ines was the beginning. She was the dog with whom our breeding story truly started, the one who made us look at the English Springer Spaniel with a breeder’s eye and taught us how much there is to discover beyond first impressions. Through her came our first litter, our first decisions, our first doubts and our first real lessons in breeding.

Wanda came into our lives completely unexpectedly. There had been no plan, no intention, no carefully mapped-out path that was supposed to lead her to us — and yet she became the dog who had a great influence on our development as breeders. Co-owned with Lordsett Kennel and bred under the Lordsett affix, she became our first additional breeding bitch and opened another chapter of learning. With her, we gained more experience in planning litters, whelping and raising puppies — always with the support and guidance of Lordsett. At the same time, Wanda brought us enormous joy in the show ring. Beautifully constructed and full of quality, she gave us the opportunity to grow not only as breeders, but also in the way we learned to evaluate dogs and understand the details that make a truly outstanding Springer.

And then there is Corazon. With him, our world expanded far beyond the show ring. Dummy work, tracking, hunting and other forms of training allowed us to discover the working side of the breed in a much deeper way. Corazon taught us how much intelligence, drive, sensitivity and willingness to cooperate can exist in one dog — and how much there is to learn when we allow a Springer to do more than simply look beautiful.

Ines, Wanda and Corazon each gave us something different.

Together, they helped shape the way we think about breeding today — not as a collection of pedigrees and titles, but as a constant process of learning from the dogs themselves.

Chapter 03

Reine des Violettes today

The story continues

Reine des Violettes is still a young kennel, and we are still learning — every day.

About the breed itself, about structure and movement, grooming, training, genetics, pedigrees, breeding decisions and all the small details that slowly build a deeper understanding of dogs.

Some lessons come from books, seminars and experienced breeders. Others come from living with the dogs, training them, showing them, raising puppies and simply paying attention.

With time, our vision becomes clearer. We understand better what we value, what we want to preserve, what we want to improve and what kind of dogs we hope to breed in the future.

There are plans ahead, of course. New combinations to consider, pedigrees to explore, places to visit and, hopefully, many more dogs whose stories are still waiting to begin.

But we are in no hurry.
